Qliq is a proprietary trading firm within the Qmulus Group – an entrepreneurial single-family office active in real estate, private equity, and trading. Qliq operates as an independent entity with a distinct profile: absolute return strategies focused on the U.S. markets, a strong and driven team of 20 professionals, and a clear emphasis on performance, risk management, and innovation.

Qliq is entering its next phase of growth. The Supervisory Board plays an active role in this development as a strategic sounding board, sparring partner, and guardian of continuity, quality, and governance. We are looking for an experienced Chair with a background in trading or financial markets who is energized by an engaged supervisory role within a relatively young, agile, and ambitious organization.

About the role

As Chair of the Supervisory Board, you will work closely with Qliq’s CEO and your fellow board members. You are responsible for the effective functioning of the board and contribute to strategic discussions, risk oversight, and the continued development of the organization. You bring hands-on experience in trading, combined with a high-level perspective, strong analytical skills, and a coaching approach towards the executive leadership.

Qliq is not looking for a passive board member, but for a Chair who is engaged, asks the right questions, and adds value through deep subject matter expertise. Someone who understands what it means to oversee an independent, performance-driven trading firm with a keen sense of pace, culture, and ambition.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Supervisory Board and ensure high-quality governance.
• Oversee the CEO’s performance and the overall direction of the firm.
• Act as a strategic sounding board for the CEO on trading performance, risk, team development, and growth.
• Communicate with and report to Qliq’s shareholders.
• Safeguard the continuity, integrity, and long-term strategy of the firm.
• Promote good governance, transparency, and accountability throughout the organization.
• Chair board meetings, ensure sound decision-making, and foster effective collaboration within the Supervisory Board.

What we are looking for

• Proven experience in (proprietary) trading and electronic markets – ideally in a leadership or executive role.
• Familiarity with governance, supervision, or board-level decision-making (prior supervisory experience is a plus but not required).
• Affinity with entrepreneurship, hands-on culture, and high-performance environments.
• Independent thinker with strong analytical skills, natural authority, and connecting leadership style.
• Availability for an active supervisory role with weekly contact and meetings.
• Preferably based in or near Amsterdam.
