About the role

Qliq is looking for a decisive and entrepreneurial CEO who will take full responsibility for both the strategy and performance of the company. In this role, you will define the direction, make decisions that truly matter, and directly contribute to the company’s success. You will be in charge of the performance of our proprietary trading strategies, lead the team, and drive the further development of the organization.

This is not an abstract executive position – we are looking for someone hands-on, present at the office during U.S. trading hours, actively coaching the team, and leading by example. You are the linchpin of the organization, ensuring that strategy, operations, and people are perfectly aligned. You will be supported by a Supervisory Board of three seasoned professionals, to whom you report directly.

Your responsibilities

• Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute the long-term business strategy of Qliq with a clear goal: stable absolute returns with tight risk management.
• Culture: Build and maintain an inspiring, entrepreneurial, and high-performance culture.
• Performance & Accountability: Take full responsibility for the company’s results. Monitor performance, make adjustments, and drive continuous improvement.
• Team Development: Lead growing, specialized trading teams (Quant Trading). Provide direction, energy, and professional growth within the company.
• Governance & Transparency: Work closely with the Supervisory Board, ensuring transparent reporting, good governance, and clear communication.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee all operational processes within Qliq, ensuring they meet the group’s high standards.
• Ambition & Growth: Develop and execute plans for further growth, including expansion into new strategies, markets, instruments, or geographies, and scaling and professionalizing the organization.

What we are looking for

• Experience in Trading: At least 10 years of successful experience in electronic trading in a front-office role (at least as trading manager). You understand the full trade lifecycle and have proven knowledge of OTC or listed derivatives (Rates, FX, Credit, Equity, Futures & Options).
• Technical Skills: Practical experience with Python, SQL or VBA is a plus. You are solution-oriented and constantly optimize processes.
• Leadership & Ownership: You have led high-performance teams under pressure. You are decisive, strategic, and able to inspire and mobilize people.
• Entrepreneurial Mindset: You are entrepreneurial by nature and enjoy building things. You see opportunities, are hands-on, and driven to deliver results.
• Financial Expertise: You have deep knowledge of financial markets and risk management, preferably with experience in U.S. markets and in quantitative or rule-based strategies.
• Governance Experience: Familiarity with working in or reporting to a supervisory or oversight body is a plus.
